Many people call asking, "what do you charge for a service call". Harris Plumbing is unlike other companies in that I charge a fair price based solely on what I have actually done. In short, my labor price may vary from $45 to $85 it does depend on what I have done, what I have used (parts) and to be quite honest the "Gross Factor". Yes, cleaning your sewer, toilet or drain is gross and "Universal Precautions" have to be taken and it costs more. Typical drain/sewer work will run from $90-$150.
On a typical service call if I am only at your job for a few minutes and you are close (meaning not a lot of time/gas was spent getting to you) more often than not I will charge you next to nothing or tell you to catch me the next time you need something.
Looking is always free, also if I come and can't solve your problem I don't expect payment.
Now, to clarify bids, I don't bid. If you need pricing for budgeting an up coming project that you want me to do, I am more than happy to help you. My customers know me and trust me, they know I always look out for their best interests before my own and treat their money as if it were my own.

I do not install items that have been bought at a hardware store, I have no problem with you buying product, just not from a hardware store.Hardware stores are meant for nails, lumber and paint. The guy who sells you the cheaply made faucet will not be coming out to repair it when it dies a year from now!
